3D BIM Modeling with Clash Detection and Coordination for Residential Project in India

Brief Overview
This project showcases the implementation of 3D BIM modeling with clash detection and coordination, including CAD to BIM conversion, for a large-scale residential project in India. The endeavor involves the design and construction of a residential township offering 2 & 3 BHK apartments with a host of amenities.
Challenges/Requirements
Coordination of Services in the Basement Area

Deliverables
The existing CAD drawings were converted into a comprehensive 3D BIM model, ensuring accurate representation and integration of all building elements.
A Level of Development (LOD) 350 BIM model was created for architecture, structure, and MEPF. This detailed model allowed for accurate visualization and coordination of various building elements.
Using advanced clash detection tools, potential clashes between different building elements were identified and resolved before the execution phase. This helped prevent costly rework and delays during construction.
Conflicts and clashes were resolved through effective coordination among the disciplines involved, ensuring a smooth workflow and minimizing design conflicts.
The BIM model was utilized for construction scheduling and project tracking. It enabled the team to plan construction activities efficiently, optimize resource allocation, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.
· Regular WIP models and reports were provided to the client on a weekly basis. These updates showcased the project’s progress, highlighted coordination achievements, and facilitated effective stakeholder communication.
