New AIA San Diego Bronze Member: Virtual Building Studio

SAN DIEGO, Calif., June 8, 2026. The American Institute of Architects (AIA) San Diego chapter has welcomed Virtual Building Studio as a Bronze Member.

Virtual Building Studio joined AIA San Diego to strengthen its footprint in the region. The chapter brings together more than 6,000 professionals from the architecture industry, giving Virtual Building Studio a direct line to local architects, firms, and industry partners shaping design and construction practice in San Diego.

As a Bronze Member of AIA San Diego, Virtual Building Studio gains several engagement points:

  • A place within the AIA San Diego chapter community
  • Access to chapter events and programs
  • Connections with local architects and firms
  • Deeper engagement with the San Diego design community
  • A stronger regional presence in the architecture sector

At AIA '26, the Conference on Architecture & Design held in San Diego, Virtual Building Studio introduced its AI Workflow, a solution built to accelerate the transition from schematic design to construction documents. The AI workflow applies automation to reduce manual drafting and coordination effort, helping project teams achieve up to 30% greater efficiency during this stage of a project.

The Bronze Membership gives Virtual Building Studio a platform to continue building visibility for the AI Workflow among architects and firms across the San Diego region while deepening its ties with the local design community.

Virtual Building Studio's team explained why the company joined AIA San Diego. According to Ar. Ankit Kansara, Founder and CEO of Virtual Building Studio, the membership reflects the company's ongoing commitment to closer regional engagement.

AIA San Diego gives us a place among the architects and firms shaping design and construction here. Membership also gives us a natural home to introduce the AI workflow we launched at AIA'26 to more of the local community, which is already helping teams move from schematic design to construction documents with up to 30% greater efficiency. We look forward to connecting further with architects and firms across the region.”

The architecture and construction sector continues to place greater weight on coordination and accurate building information before work begins on-site. Local chapters give firms and industry partners a shared space to stay close to those shifts and to one another.
